Dimitris Theocharis designed connector pieces that join carbon fiber rods and parachute fabric to create an elegant tetrahedral structure.
In a collaboration with the 'Ecology of colour' research project by Maria Boto and Heleen Sintobin, artist Dimitris Theocharis created hundreds of connector pieces.
They hold carbon fiber rods where pieces of parachute fabric has been wrapped over. The biolab grew nanoparticles on the fabric that result in structural colors — color without pigment.
